Caitlin and Marlyne first connected on Tumblr over a mutual love of Orphan Black. After a couple of messages, they decided to meet regardless of the distance. Marlyne lived in Florida and Caitlin in San Francisco. A long-distance relationship started, and ten months later, Marlyne moved to San Francisco so they could be together. For their fourth anniversary, they were planning a trip to Europe. Caitlin wanted to propose, but the ring wouldn’t arrive on time. She decided to tell Marlyne, and she responded the same thing happened to her, only it wasn’t true. On a boat on the Seine, right in front of the Eiffel Tower, Marlyne popped the question with a gorgeous ring, completely surprising Caitlin.
The inspiration behind their wedding came from the venue itself, The Estate on Second. They kept to simple but elegant décor, letting the venue shine with its exposed bricks and arched windows. Greenery, candles and white blooms helped set a romantic mood. During their wedding ceremony, the marriers did a hand fasting ceremony. To personalize their day, Marlyne hand drew the table cards which featured some of the favorite places they’ve traveled together. We adore the bright and vivid wedding photography of these two brides!
