Lizzo has seemingly hit back at Kanye West’s comments on her weight.
The singer alluded to Ye’s comments while speaking to the crowd during the Toronto show of Lizzo: The Special Tour.
The musician – who has legally changed his name to Ye – attacked Lizzo during an appearance on Tucker Carlson: Tonight on right-wing news channel Fox News.
He said: “When Lizzo loses 10 pounds and announces it, the bots, they attack her for losing weight, because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal, when it’s actually unhealthy.”
Ye then doubled down, not only insinuating that Lizzo was “promoting” an unhealthy way of living as opposed to someone simply existing, but calling it “demonic”.
‘It’s actually clinically unhealthy, and for people to promote that it’s demonic,” he said.
Answering Carlson’s question of why people would want to “promote unhealthiness”, he said that it was a part of a coordinated “genocide of the Black race”.
Lizzo didn’t name Ye directly but spoke out against people with her “motherf**king name in their motherf**king mouth”.
“I feel like everybody in America got my motherf**king name in their motherf**king mouth for no motherf**king reason,” Lizzo said on stage, in a video captured by Canadian outlet ETalk.
“I’m minding my fat Black beautiful business.” Well said, Lizzo.
She continued, asking if she could stay in Canada, a question that was met with rapturous applause.
“Who can I marry for that dual citizenship?” she joked.
Lizzo also FaceTimed a man who had been stringing along one of her concert attendees, live on stage. Now that’s called being an icon.

Kanye West has had his Instagram and Twitter accounts locked after antisemitic posts.
He has been heavily criticised since wearing a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt during his Yeezy Season 9 fashion show. He also dressed conservative author and commentator Candace Owens in the same shirt.
In his interview with Carlson he said: “I thought the shirt was a funny shirt. I thought that the idea of me wearing it was funny.”
Ye’s partnership with Adidas is currently ‘under review’.
